A message from Allen & Will Co-Writers of Pocus Hocus.

Last night, Pocus Hocus reached yet another milestone. In just the final minutes of the campaign, while we were counting down live with our friend and PR Manager Joey Galvez, we broke 10k. Shortly thereafter, we were at $10,100. Our minds were blown.

From day one, the success and speed with which this comic series has progressed has absolutely floored us in the best possible way. Sometimes after writing sessions, we would lovingly joke about how awesome it would be to have a campaign that someday did as well as ten grand. We thought it was a pipe dream. Not because we didn’t believe in Pocus, or the fans, but because reaching that status would mean an awful lot of support for two guys from West Virginia with a dream.

Despite our overwhelming gratitude and amazement, there is actually zero confusion as to why this campaign did as well as it has, and it has little to do with us. All you have to do is look at the team we have: Brian Balondo (illustrator), Jasen Smith (Colors), Dave Lentz (Letters/design), Joey Galvez (who is so good at marketing/advertising, it’s enough to give you whiplash).

With such an amazing team inevitably follows a legion of genuine, loyal fans. The fans who donated their hard-earned money, who followed this campaign (and prior campaigns) all the way to the end. In addition to our readers, we have received an amazing outpouring of support from the entire Indie Comics community – including creators, podcasters, illustrators, writers, you name it.

In Beckley, West Virginia, it’s a little cloudy and cold – they’re calling for thunderstorms here later. But as far as we’re concerned, it’s a beautiful day. Thank you. Sincerely, from the bottom of our hearts. And stay tuned.

As always, we have more tricks up our sleeves. And we have no intention of slowing down.

Pocus Hocus Overview by Jay Burns

Pocus Hocus #4

“Shady deals, magic, and mayhem..not to mention superb art and a story that is hilarious, dark, and draws you in”

-Jay Burns-

For those who haven’t read that bit before, those were my thoughts on the very first campaign for Pocus Hocus. Now, The Abacadabros are back and they are bringing the METAL…and chromium….covers for their FOURTH, (Fully funded on day one), Kickstarter campaign.

What is Pocus Hocus all about? Well, it’s about a magician named Pocus Hocus ( yes that’s his actual name) who in an effort to impress his father, sells his soul to a demon for actual magic powers.

Pocus Hocus” #1 was a fun read. Even with the darker story being told, it’s balanced out with well placed humor. If you’re looking for something new to check out, give this book a shot.

ODPH:Podcast

Things don’t go as planned for Pocus and he soon becomes jaded with his gifts. He sets out to find the demon who possesses his soul and plans to get it back at any cost. What ensues is a dark, twisted, and humorous story that might just take you to hell and back.

Pocus Hocus Is Dark, Witty & Humorous, but this Isn’t daddy’s Magician act!

Speaking of the trade, did I mention it comes in a Metal or Chromium option as well? I didn’t? Well then, there you go. I’ve never seen a metal trade before and it looks incredible! Look no further than POCUS HOCUS! Follow the kickstarter and view all of the cool tiers that fit your budget. bit.ly/pocushocus4
